For the ones who found the title familiar, yes it is actually On His Being Arrived to the Age of Twenty Threethe sonnet by John Milton, a 17th-century British poet, whose works have eternal value and is regarded as one of the greatest English poets.

While Milton is best known for his great epics and sonnets, On His Being Arrived to the Age of Twenty Three taught me something real and helpful. Like many of us, four centuries ago this immortal man with exceptional intellect and wisdom had the same thoughts, same doubts about him being mature enough for his age. I am twenty-three years now, the age Milton found himself questioning his maturity. Who would have thought time would fly this far this soon? Surely aging doesn’t necessarily mean your mind is ripe enough to be spiritually “MATURE”.If a man who wrote epics on Adam and Eve, tangling them with other mythical deities, had the same thought about career and life after college, I am at peace.
